The Media Player application allows NAS users to play digital audio or video files that are located on your NAS. The figure below gives a brief overview of the Media Player application.
The PLAYLISTS panel is located on the left side of the main Media Player window. this panel shows all of the playlists created by the user and a Recent playlist, showing items that were recently played with the Media Player.
Click an item from the PLAYLIST and all of the audio files will be displayed in the content window.
The playlists are displayed in a tree structure view. Click on the triangle icon to expand or compress a playlist.
To select multiple items from the content pane, you can:
The tool bar is located at the top of the window and it provides 10 quick access buttons. You can manage your media files by clicking on them.

The tracks list displays all of the media files in the playlist. The tracks list presents basic information about each item. Double click on any item to play it in the Media Player application.
The following table describes all of the fields shown on the tracks list.
Field | Description |

Name | Identifies the name of the file |
Location | Identifies the location of the file |
Duration | Identifies the time length of a media file |
Artist | Identifies the name of the artist |
Album | Identifies the name of the album that the media file belongs to |
Comments | Displays comments about the file |
The context menu pops up when the user right-clicks on an item. Here is an example:

Select None | Deselects all items in the content window |
Play Selected | Plays the selected items |
Play Playlist | Plays the selected playlist |
Add Items | Adds items to a playlist |
Copy | Copies the selected items |
Cut | Cuts an item so it can be moved to another playlist |
Paste | Pastes copied or cut items to a selected playlist |
Delete | Deletes the selected album or item |
Refresh | Refreshes the content window |

By default, items in a playlist are played in the order they appear on the list. You can change the order of the items by dragging and dropping them within the list.
