Download

InteractiveSharing provides a service to allow the user to download files from the network. It supports FileTP, BT and Donkey protocols. Click the Downloader icon and the download setup page appears.

The following table identifies the fields and buttons shown in the Download setup page.

Field Description
Enable Download Service Select the checkbox to enable Download service.
Max Hard Upload Rate Specifies the maximum upload rate.
Max Hard Download Rate Specifies the maximum download rate.
Max Opened Connections Specifies the maximum number of open connections allowed in the service.
Max Concurrent Downloads Specifies the maximum number of downloads allowed at one time.
Apply Click to save changes.
For detailed information on downloading files through Downloader, please refer to Downloader.
Before enabling download service, you should mount a disk partition to /home; otherwise, the system will not have enough room to store the temporary files during the downloading. To mount a disk, please refer to Mount a Partition.

SMTP Server

InteractiveSharing provides a service to allow the user to send emails. Click System Preferences»Email, to open the SMTP (Email) Setup/Notification page.

The following table identifies the fields and buttons shown in the SMTP (Email) Setup/Notification page.

Field Description
SMTP Server Setup Specifies the address of the SMTP server.
Port Specifies the port of the server.
User Name Specifies the user name.
Password Specifies the password.
System Notification Select the checkbox to enable the system to send the user a notification by email when certain system events occur.
Email address Specifies the email address that the system notification will be sent to.
Send a Test Mail Sends a test mail to the above email address to check whether the SMTP server works.
Send Click to send a test Email.
Apply Click to save changes.
