Create a folder
Follow these steps to create a new folder.
Upload Files
As a web-based file manager, My Server allows the user to upload files to your NAS. There are two methods to upload files:
Google Gears: you can drag and drop the files that you want to upload from your browser.
Flash: if you don’t have Google Gears, you can upload files by Flash. Verify that you have installed a flash plug-in.
Follow the steps below to upload files to your NAS.
Open a Folder.
Click the Upload icon on the toolbar (Top Left). A dialog box will appear. If Google Gears is installed, you can drag files to the folder.
Select one or more files that you want to upload and click Open or (double click).
The uploading page pops up to show detailed information about the upload.
The following table identifies the fields shown in the upload dialog.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Operation | Performs operations on the uploading file. In Google Gears, it allows the user to delete, stop, and resume the upload. |
File Name | Displays the name of the file |
Progress | Displays the progress of the upload. You should refresh manually to see the latest progress. |
File Size | Displays the size of the file. |
Uploaded | Displays the directory of the uploaded file. |
Target | Displays the destination directory to be uploaded into. |
Time | Displays the total amount of time that the upload has taken. |
Copy items
To copy an item or items, you can:
Select an item (or items) that you wish to copy.
Click the Copy button or right click and select Copy from the context menu.
Go to the directory you want to copy items to.
Click the Paste button or right click and select Paste from the context menu.
Cut items
To cut an item, you can:
Select an item (or items) that you wish to cut.
Click the Cut button or right click and select Cut from the context menu.
Go to the directory you want to move the items to.
Click the Paste button or right click and select Paste from the context menu.
Rename an item
To rename an item, you can:

To delete an item, you can click the Delete button on the toolbar or right click on the item and select Delete from the context menu.
